Fear Disappears when Courage Appears

When I was stuck at a critical point in bad relationship I knew I had to get out of it, but I had no where to go and no money to do it with.  I was terrified! Trying desperately to take my mind off what I had to do, I sat down and watched a movie “Clash of the Titans”.

The movie took me back to all of the inspirational movies I had watched before and they all had the same theme. The hero of each story – were ALWAYS filled with insecurities and self doubt but still managed to get over themselves to set aside their own fears to step up and undertake the journey needed to achieve a higher purpose.

Then it occurred to me that the more challenging the journey, the more courage was needed, the more committed the hero was to achieve the purpose.

“Feel The Fear, and Do It Anyway”

Fear is the most fundamental reason why we don’t take action. Please read my blog: “Beat Procrastination – How to Make Fear Disappear”

However, as Susan Jeffers says, fear is basically us believing that “I can’t handle it”………. However, the subconscious holds every resource we could ever need to achieve whatever we want (reference: NLP Pressuppositions)  Although we may have never had to deal with this specific situation before in our lives, we have over the course of our lives experienced situations that have equipped us with all the skills and abilities we need to adequately deal with ANY situation that may arise. It may have been a childhood experience where you had to stand up to a bully, or have left a relationship that didn’t work out, or had little or no money – but we still managed to survive.  All of these experiences build on top of one another to provide us with what we need whenever we need it.  So, in truth, we CAN handle anything that comes our way, we just need to be able to tap into those resources within us.

How do we do this? We “Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway’ and the resources will appear as you need them – just trust in your Higher Self that there is always a way through a situation.

The Secret to Your Higher Self

Your Higher Self has a plan for you and has your best interests at heart.  Consider it like you at your most POWERFUL.  Your Higher Self also connects to everyone else’s Higher Self. Please see my blog: “Why You Do The Things You Do”

To access your Higher Self, you need to COMMIT yourself to a decision then you will see Providence move in coincidences and serendipity to align with your descision.

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.”
―     William H. Murray

What does it take to COMMIT?

You need to decide with your heart and mind to be prepared to do whatever it takes to follow through.  In my situation, while I watched the movie, I made a note to myself, “with great courage I can achieve great things” and placed in my purse as a reminder.  Then I made a secret list of all the things I would need to do in order to follow through with my decision……….at the time I wasn’t concerned about my Higher Self or Providence – I just wanted out of the relationship! But sure enough ideas hit me out of the blue, people I had only met once came to my aid, my ex-partner’s attitude changed to allow me to leave and everything happened seamlessly.  But whenever I hesitated, there was no intervention from Providence, there were just more obstacles and challenges.

So have the COURAGE to COMMIT to a decision to change now and watch your life change in miraculous ways.
