6 Secrets Why Your Ego Creates Misery #1

#1 – The Ego’s need to KNOW!!

There are two sides the equation to each one of the needs of the Ego.

The best case in this situation would be curiosity. The need to be wanting more and expanding yourself is part of this.

Conflict with the Ego’s need for Certainty

But essentially the ego is all about certainty and opposing the idea of saying “yes” to a situation and working out how later – is against the certainty to know the future is assured.. Instead, you say “no” and then afterwards we try to work out how to do it – as it is embracing uncertainty and that’s when the ego gets jittery in not knowing what to do.

Know yourself firstIt’s highly counterintuitive for you to turn a “no” into a “yes” after you’ve have said “no’. For example, to say “no” to an opportunity (say attending a party) is much harder for you to turn that into a “Yes, I’ll be there” once you have worked out how you’ll get there. Only because Ego gets in the way as another of Ego’s needs is TO BE RIGHT……..and to change your mind does not allow the Ego to be right.

So again the need to know is the ego’s way of trying to protect us. This is a good example when you (operating from Ego) need to know 100% of the facts before you make a decision.

Imagine having a relationship where we need to know 100% of the facts before you make a decision? It just doesn’t work.

The need to know has a grip on us which is controlling and manipulative and holds you back from moving forward.

Say Yes and work out How Later

So say, “Yes” to opportunities in life and then work out later how to do it will attract more and more opportunities to you.  It also demonstrates that you back yourself by trusting in Spirit that the “how to do it” will naturally come to you.
